Project Overview

M Squared Lazers and the University of Strathclyde have partnered to commercialise neutral atom quantum computing, a scalable and flexible approach with potential for near-term industrial applications. The Industrially led quantum computing accelerator project received £900,000 of funding from the Innovation Accelerator to benchmark the technology, test its capabilities on real-world problems, and establish a competitive quantum demonstrator platform in Glasgow.

This will leverage the city’s strong research institutions, skills, and supply chain to drive economic growth through new commercial activity, job creation, and inward investment.

M Squared Lazers’ leadership in quantum technologies and Glasgow’s potential for global leadership in this field make this project a promising step towards realising the economic benefits of quantum computing.
