The Creative Industries are a priority growth engine for the UK, figures show it’s growing at a faster rate than the UK economy as a whole and in 2023 it contributed £124 billion GVA to the UK economy employing 4 million people.

The Industrial Strategy and the sector plan set out the government’s aim to make the UK the best place in the world to create content, in:

• Advertising and Marketing

Innovate UK is part of a public and private creative ecosystem working to create the right conditions across the country for further growth, encouraging inward investment from major international players, so that UK createch companies can scale up and retain the benefits of their IP.  

How we help

The Creative Industries team at Innovate UK Business Connect act as a connector and guide through the innovation system. We are here to support you to deliver on your potential. We surface relevant opportunities, help you understand what and who they’re for, and create connections to strengthen your project and accelerate your progress. We work across the all the UK’s creative sub-sectors delivering createch, supporting businesses and organisations developing, or adopting, technologies that improve how creative content is made, distributed and experienced.
