Project Overview
The DIATOMIC program, led by the Connected Places Catapult, is accelerating place-based innovation in the West Midlands. By leveraging the region’s existing international connections and implementing targeted initiatives, it focuses on growing the clean tech, health tech, and med tech markets.
As the UK’s innovation accelerator for cities, transport, and place leadership, Connected Places Catapult will enable civic leaders to set innovation challenges, support local SMEs to respond to these challenges and benefit the community through the UK’s first inclusive innovation hub, promote the use of data for better place-based decision-making, and develop an impact assessment toolkit.
Overall, DIATOMIC seeks to create a more innovative and sustainable West Midlands through strategic partnerships, targeted initiatives, and data-driven decision-making.
