UK National Quantum Technologies Showcase 2025
The UK National Quantum Technologies Showcase returns – bigger, bolder, and more globally connected than ever before. This time, it will be part of the International Year of Quantum.
Organised by Innovate UK, in collaboration with the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and the UK National Quantum Technologies Programme (UKNQTP), this year’s showcase marks a worldwide celebration of quantum science and technology commercialisation.
The event is set to be the most influential yet – both in UK, and across Europe – bringing together industry, academia, investors, and policymakers to highlight how quantum is accelerating its commercial impact and adoption, transforming technologies, and reshaping UK and global markets.
Who is this event for?
The showcase is open to anyone with a stake in the UK quantum ecosystem or a desire to explore quantum’s potential. Attendees will include:
- Business and industry leaders
- Researchers and academics
- Government representatives and policymakers
- Investors, entrepreneurs, and innovation managers.
We also warmly welcome professionals from adjacent sectors like Photonics, Semiconductors, Finance, Space, Defence, AI, Health and Energy who are seeking to understand how quantum technologies will influence their domains in the coming years, and form cross-sector collaborations.
Why attend?
Quantum technologies are rapidly moving towards commercialisation and adoption, powering breakthroughs across computing, navigation, healthcare, cybersecurity, telecommunications, and critical infrastructure.
The UK National Quantum Technologies Showcase 2025 is the biggest quantum event in the UK, and one of the largest events of its kind globally, offering:
- Unrivalled insight into the latest research and market-ready applications
- Valuable networking with thought leaders, innovators, and collaborators
- High-impact engagement with UK national programmes and global delegations
- A powerful platform to explore investment, partnerships, and commercialisation opportunities.
International year of quantum 2025
This year’s showcase is proud to be a flagship event in the UN-endorsed International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ 2025), marking 100 years since the birth of quantum mechanics and celebrating its profound impact on society, innovation, and science.
The IYQ initiative brings together countries, industries, and institutions to:
- Raise public awareness of quantum’s importance in our world
- Inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers
- Promote global collaboration in quantum research and application.
The UK’s leadership role in this international celebration underscores its ambition to remain at the forefront of quantum excellence, policy, and industry growth.
Over a decade of national quantum innovation
The 2025 Showcase builds on over 10 years of the UK National Quantum Technologies Programme (NQTP), a unique cross-sector collaboration between academia, industry, and government. Over the past decade:
- £1 billion has been invested to build world-class capabilities in quantum computing, sensing, imaging, communications, and navigation
- National hubs and commercial demonstrators have catalysed real-world adoption
- Quantum innovations are beginning to directly benefit everyday life, while growing a skilled and future-facing workforce.
Now, under the Government’s National Quantum Strategy, the next stage of the Programme will focus on accelerating commercialisation and adoption to improve lives across the country and drive future growth in our economy.
What to expect in 2025
This year’s event promises to be the largest and most dynamic edition of the showcase to date, reflecting both UK momentum and international alignment through the IYQ.
Attendees can expect:
- Over 100 exhibitors and more than 2000 attendees, showcasing technologies that span quantum hardware, software, infrastructure, communications, sensing and imaging applications
- A full day of live demonstrations, expert panels, industry sessions, and networking
- Strategic insights from government, research councils, investors, and international partners
- A focus on translating research into industrial impact, highlighting success stories, opportunities, and key national capabilities
- Enhanced visibility and participation from global delegations, as part of IYQ 2025.
The showcase is not only a celebration – it is a catalyst for future opportunities and collaborations.
New for 2025
