This programme, funded by Innovate UK, in collaboration with Medical Research Council, as part of the Biomedical Catalyst, can help early stage life science startups targeting unmet needs in disease prevention or proactive management of chronic conditions. Through expert commercial support and access to grant funding, Innovate UK and Pioneer Group are committed to supporting entrepreneurs within life sciences. Female founders developing therapeutics are a particular group of interest within this Accelerator.
The Pre-Accelerator will take on a maximum of 60 projects, and successful applicants will be allocated a workshop date. Following the pitch days, 20 projects will be selected onto the Accelerator Programme and will qualify for the closed grant funding competition.
