About the standard

As there are many built environment standards related to data and information management, this standard provides a guide for SMEs to navigate them.
PAS 1958, Built environment – Data and information standards landscape – Guide, aims to simplify your understanding of existing standards and provides a framework of how they can be linked together.

It aims to support better data and information management and decision-making, facilitating the adoption or development of AI within the sector.
SMEs are an integral part of the sector, and you’re invited to provide feedback and contribute to shaping this standard.

View the draft, leave your comments and join a discussion about the standard below.

Who is this for?

The standard is relevant to UK SMEs in the construction and built environment sector and individuals responsible for data or information management activities across any stage of the asset life cycle. This will also be relevant to standards developers, software developers, and data or information-based professional bodies, trade associations and specialist groups are also invited to comment on the standard.
