This Energy Access Collaboration Building Opportunity Visit aims to support the development of strong and equitable partnerships between the UK and international organisations for post-trip funding opportunities.

The Energy Access Programmes are funded through the UK Government via the Transforming Energy Access platform. The programmes aim to accelerate the innovation needed to reach Sustainable Development Goal 7 – ‘ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all’.

This is done through providing financial and advisory support to innovators to help create strategic partnerships, uncover insights, and develop business models to improve lives in emerging economies.

This activity offers an opportunity to:

  • Gain insights into the energy ecosystem in either Indonesia, Mexico or Kenya
  • Meet potential project collaborators.
  • Learn about the support available from the UK government.

This visit will provide participants with the chance to engage with a diverse range of energy stakeholders, including industry, academia, and NGOs. Participants will also visit sites of previously funded organisations to gain valuable insights into doing business in the country and accessing Innovate UK’s future international funding streams.

If selected, Innovate UK will cover the costs of travel, accommodation, and subsistence for one senior representative from your organisation. The dates reserved for travel are:

  • Indonesia – week commencing 9 February 2026
  • Mexico – w/c 2 March 2026
  • Kenya – w/c 9 March 2026

Companies can only be accepted for one of these visits, but they can apply into all 3.
