Innovate UK’s Global Incubator Programme helps ambitious businesses to collaborate and expand in new markets, accelerating business growth.
To apply, you must:
- Be a UK-based innovation-led company with ambitions to grow and internationalise
- Be a company with fewer than 250 employees
- Have a focus on Agri-Tech
During the session, you will:
- learn more about the Global Incubator Programme – Agri-Tech, New Zealand
- learn about the local innovation ecosystems in New Zealand
- learn how Innovate UK Business Growth will support you through the programme, and have an introduction to additional innovation growth support available
- be provided with some guidance on how to complete and submit an online application form
- have the option to submit questions to the Global Business Innovation Programme panel

Targeted agricultural sectors
- Horticulture: viticulture, fruit production, vegetable crops and protected cropping
- Livestock: including beef, sheep & dairy systems, monitoring and management, including animal wellbeing technology to proactively detect/avoid/treat health issues and improve diet/nutrition. Technologies to manage enteric methane and nitrous oxide production.
- Arable: precision crop management and soil health technologies
Key focus areas include but are not limited to:
Controlled environment farming
- Indoor and vertical farming
- Protected horticulture
- Climate-resilient growing and nature-positive innovation
Robotics & Automation
- Harvesting and planting automation
- Seasonal labour substitutions
- Automated irrigation and nutrient delivery
Advanced Sensors & AI Systems
- Crop growth and monitoring sensors
- Yield prediction and soil health
- Livestock monitoring technologies
- On-farm technology (sensors, cameras, satellite based, etc) that relate to recording attributes/phenotypic data for herd or crop improvement
- Tools to simplify compliance and automate data capture on farm / on orchard.
Engineering Biology for agriculture
- Animal and plant genetics to accelerate genetic gain,
- Bio-based crop protection
- Microbial soil health protection
- Enhanced plant resilience and productivity
