The problem and opportunity
Private markets are opening up to a much wider investor base faster than back-office infrastructure can keep pace. Operations teams still coordinate fund workflows by hand across multiple firms, turning what used to be an annual audit exercise into a constant compliance burden. As scrutiny and retail access both grow, service providers need a better way to prove, not just do, the work.
The solution and innovation
Project Heath’s first agent, Otto, is an AI layer that sits above service providers’ existing systems, coordinating multi-party workflows and building an audit trail as the work happens rather than after the fact. It’s designed for controlled, traceable execution so every action is logged, owned and defensible. Our approach is grounded in original research with 73 operations teams, who shaped the workflow library at Otto’s core.
Market and ambition
We’re targeting fund administrators and asset managers running evergreen and semi-liquid structures, where operational pressure is growing fastest. Otto is at MVP stage, working towards first paid pilots over the next year. We’re starting in the UK, with a path to Europe as we scale.
Founder perspective
Julia Bohutska has spent a decade in data science and engineering leadership, most recently as a startup CTO, with a Master’s in Computational Finance from UCL. She’s founded tech teams before, with recognition for innovation. She co-founded Project Heath to give ops teams real control and proof of what’s been done.
