The problem and opportunity
Children’s services rely on fragmented case systems, forcing practitioners to duplicate records while families repeatedly retell traumatic stories. Existing tools record crisis, not prevention, leaving services siloed and delaying effective support. Our shared framework creates one coherent, cross-agency view, enabling earlier intervention, reducing duplication, improving continuity of care and helping deliver preventative Family Help.
The solution and innovation
Tending Dynamics pairs TEND, our patent-pending clinical framework, with a flexible data model gathering evidence in real time, so the platform evolves and becomes more intelligent as evidence compounds. It plugs into the statutory case-management ecosystem, with agentic AI surfacing patterns and enables perspective reframing – expanding capacity and capability across the network. We are running validation pilots with ~100 young people across 6–7 councils.
Market and ambition
The initial market is the 153 UK local authorities mandated to deliver Family Help by 2027, followed by NHS and voluntary-sector partners. A live Bexley pilot with an NHS Trust is generating procurement-grade evidence within 12 months. The ambition is to scale through multi-council UK deployments within 2–3 years, alongside wider EU rollout.
Founder perspective
Lea’s experience of avoidable family dysfunction drove her to ask what prevention really requires. When she met her co-founder, they saw the same challenges in frontline practice and digital infrastructure.Together, they built Tending to recognise risk earlier and protect dignity as people move through the system.
