KTN Batteries Placement
KTN is pleased to announce an opportunity to undertake a two to three month placement for a chemistry or materials student who has a particular interest and expertise in batteries and electrification.
This placement (Doctoral Training Programs PIP) will allow the participant to work within industry for a period of up to three months to help gain an understanding of working in a commercial setting. Working from home, the student will provide support to the KTN Chemistry & Industrial Biotechnology Team to deliver activities associated with the Cross Sector Batteries System Innovation Network, including updating and developing a landscape map and analysis of current battery recycling and reuse technologies.
The student should be in receipt of a stipend from their host institution or private funding.
This Studentship is aimed at those who are working towards their PhD, Masters or have completed their degree with an interest in innovation in batteries.
The placement will be undertaken remotely (i.e. no travel is expected as part of this placement). The successful candidate will be expected to have access to: a computer/ laptop; Microsoft software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); a good WiFi/ internet connection; a google account (with 2-Factor Authentication turned on); and ideally a Zoom account (free version only required).
The deadline for applications is 5pm Thursday 22nd July 2021. We will interview prospective students the week commencing 26th July. Placements will ideally take place between August and October 2021.
