In this webinar, we will hear from Chris Courtney, Challenge Director for the Made Smarter Innovation challenge who will provide an overview of the Made Smarter Innovation programme and our plans to deliver a resilient, flexible, more productive and environmentally sustainable UK manufacturing sector through the innovation of new technologies that can be exploited commercially across the manufacturing industry, worldwide. Chris will lay out the plans for the programme and explain how organisations can ‘Get Involved’.
£60m has been allocated for investment in Collaborative R&D projects across the whole programme to create powerful collaborations solving the biggest challenges to develop industry ready digital solutions.
We will be joined by Chris Needham, Innovation Lead for Made Smarter Innovation at Innovate UK who will provide insights into competition funding on the horizon and how companies can take advantage of these opportunities.
We will also be joined by two companies who have successfully secured Collaborative R&D funding. Innovation Lead at ATS Global, Katerina Mouliadou, will introduce the WeldZero Made Smarter project and how ATS Global secured this funding. She will also provide a range of valuable insights including details of the application process, what the project involves and the consortium partnerships she has developed as a result of getting involved with the Made Smarter Innovation programme.
David Lovett, Founder and Managing Director of Perceptive Engineering, will discuss the evolution of their innovative digital Industrial Automation business. David will outline the advantages that manufacturing businesses can take advantage of when securing Made Smarter Collaborative R&D funding.
