Driving the Electric Revolution - Engage with… Electrification of HGVs
This webinar will outline how Power Electronics, Machines and Drives (PEMD) is supporting the government in ensuring all new HGVs that are sold in the UK are zero emission by 2040 and will highlight how you can get involved.
The influence PEMD of all new HGVs sold in the UK being zero emission by 2040
Come and join us to hear more about the ‘Zero Emissions Road Freight Trials‘ encouraging fleet operators to convert to battery-electric vehicles in the transition to zero emission road freight the UK and how you in the PEMD sector can get involved.
Webinar recording is now available
Alongside trials of other technologies, the programme expects to trial heavy, long distance battery electric HGVs that will be recharged at state of the art high power (>1MW DC) chargers to enable city-to-city and national freight operations. The trials will help to commercialise zero emission technologies and will support the Government commitment to phase out ‘non-zero emission HGVs’ by 2035, and ‘all new HGVs sold in the UK to be zero emission by 2040‘. Join this live webinar to hear how this will impact the PEMD sector.
