Cyber Security projects selected for commercialisation programme

CyberASAP 2020/21 gets underway with 28 promising cyber security ideas from top academic teams.

The fourth year of the Cyber Security Academic Startup Accelerator Programme (CyberASAP) is about to start. Designed to help academic teams commercialise their ideas for cyber security products or services, the programme starts next week for the 28 teams whose applications to participate in CyberASAP 2020/21 were successful.

The programme is run in two phases, and Phase One kicks off with a Bootcamp starting on 1 April. In response to the current situation, the Bootcamp is being run online with teams participating in a detailed briefing on the tools and techniques to help them develop and refine their Value Proposition and Market Validation – the core focus of Phase One.

Funded by DCMS and delivered through InnovateUK and KTN, CyberASAP runs over the course of the next 11 months, and provides teams with a comprehensive programme of support and expert input to help take products from lab to market.
