Jess Weller

Working within the Place, Skills and Knowledge Transfer directorate within Innovate UK Business Connect, my role is to support and contribute to the success of Knowledge Transfer Adviser (KTA) projects, including the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) programme and other KTA projects such as the AKT2I pilot competition.

My role builds on experience built within the Strategic Portfolio Office championing project management best practices to support the successful delivery of Innovate UK Business Connect projects.

I am passionate about making a difference, working collectively with peers to reach common goals, and feeling the fulfilment of the impact. I strive to ensure that the quality of whatever needs to be done is the best, and as a lifelong learner in finding the best solution to any problem, we’re always learning to be the best version of ourselves.

My background is in driving forward the local economy and skills, through the excellent project and service management of grant programmes both within not-for-profit and Higher Education Institutes.

Working and spending time with community groups and making a difference in people’s lives has given me excellent values in social inclusion and accessibility; championing and being the voice of those less heard and supporting the wider research that can make future influences.
