Posted on: 12/04/2018

The NIHR Brain Injury MedTech Co-operative is holding its launch event on 25th April at the University of Cambridge.

The NIHR Brain Injury MedTech Co-operative (MIC) is dedicated to identifying areas of unmet need susceptible to a technology-based solution amongst patients of all ages with brain injury. It is delivered in partnership between Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and University of Cambridge.

By working with patients, clinician and academics, the Brain Injury MIC will provide a ‘go-to’ centre of expertise for understanding the market, regulatory and funding landscape for technological innovation within the brain injury patient pathway.

The official launch event of the Brain Injury MIC is taking place on 25th April at the University of Cambridge. This event will provide an opportunity to share the learnings of the NIHR Brain Injury Healthcare Technology Co-operative (HTC), explore the new technologies that have become available for patients who have suffered brain injuries, and hear about future priorities for innovation in the MedTech sector.

This event will welcome patients, family or carers of patient, researchers, clinicians, SMEs, start-ups, NHS organisations, charitable organisations, or anyone interested in what the NIHR and Department of Health and Social Care have planned for MedTech Co-operatives.
