Posted on: 06/07/2018

The Department for Business, Energy and the Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has announced the opening of phase 7 of the Energy Entrepreneurs’ Fund (EEF).

A total of £10m is available for projects within this phase of EEF, a competitive funding scheme.  EEF aims to support the development and demonstration of state of the art technologies, products and processes in the areas of energy efficiency, power generation, and heat and electricity storage.

The application process is now open and EEF is seeking the best ideas across the above energy technologies from the public and private sectors.  The scheme particularly aims to assist small and medium-sized enterprises, including start-ups, and those companies that are selected will receive additional funding for incubation support.  Up to £1m of the £10m available grant funding will be ring fenced for smaller projects with a total value up to £250,000.  The remaining funding will be used to fund projects with a total value greater than £250,000 with companies being able to apply for up to £1m grant per proposal.

Expressions of interest are required by 13:00 on 3rd August 2018 and the deadline for applications is 13:00 on 14th September 2018.

For more information and the necessary forms to apply for EEF, visit the BEIS website.
