CyberASAP Announces a Record Fifteen Academic Teams to go Through to Phase 2
The Cyber Security Academic Startup Accelerator Programme (CyberASAP) has just announced the outcome of the final selection stage of this year’s programme. We’re delighted to see that five out of a record fifteen are funded by the Security of Digital Technology at the Periphery (SDTaP) initiative. The UKRI-funded SDTaP competition provides funding to business-led demonstrators addressing cyber security challenges in the Internet of Things.
The chosen academic teams, all looking to create solutions with commercial impact from their cyber security innovations, will now develop their Proofs of Concept ready to present at a Demo Day happening on 22nd February 2023 in London.
A record twenty-eight University teams from all over the UK started the sixth year of CyberASAP in April 2022. In September, a final 15 selected to progress to Phase 2 will be put through their paces as the Innovate UK KTN team and its network of mentors provide a unique package of training and support that helps academic groups export their research from the lab out to the market.
