Introduction
The production of clean hydrogen, as well as the distribution, storage, and end use applications of low-carbon hydrogen in hard-to-abate sectors are central to the UK’s net zero strategy. This event is a showcase of the role of collaborative innovation in driving forward hydrogen technology development in the UK. It also highlights upcoming Clean Hydrogen partnership funding call opportunities, and showcases the current UK landscape in Hydrogen in collaborative innovation projects, celebrating the impact of collaborative innovation projects to date and highlighting upcoming opportunities through the Clean Hydrogen partnership.
The European Hydrogen Week which takes place 24-28 October 2022 is the biggest annual event dedicated to hydrogen under the lead of the Clean Hydrogen Partnership and its members, the European Commission, Hydrogen Europe, and Hydrogen Europe Research. This Innovate UK KTN Global Alliance side event taking place online on 25 October 2022 will seek to align with the objectives of the Hydrogen Expo, which aims to support organisations to learn more about emerging hydrogen-based solutions, trends, and approaches in the global energy sector.
The webinar aims to celebrate the benefits of collaboration in hydrogen innovation projects, with a focus on UK organisations that have benefited from Horizon funding for hydrogen projects. We are delighted to be joined by Dr Olaf Kranz, Head of Science and Kate Robinson, Hydrogen Lead, Science and Innovation Germany to discuss opportunities for collaboration with partners in Germany; you will also hear case studies from companies highlighting their projects and a Q&A session.
