KTN experts to speak at the Global Engineering Congress

The five-day Global Engineering Congress (GEC) will take place in London from 22 October.

Entitled ‘Mobilising the global engineering community to deliver the Sustainability Development Goals’, the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) will bring together engineers at the Congress from across the world to look at creating real change and planning how the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals can be met.

There is a recognition that the world urgently needs to take action on climate change and engineers have a vital role to play in delivering clean water, sustainable energy and a connected world.  GEC offers five days of multi-streamed content and a practical programme designed to produce answers to these global challenges that can improve the lives of millions around the world.

Speakers include representatives from Ordnance Survey, Thames Estuary Partnership, Mott MacDonald; UNESCO, WaterAid UK, US Environmental Protection Agency, 100 Resilient Cities, Energy Research Institute, Engineers Without Borders and Knowledge Transfer Managers from KTN’s Infrastructure Team.

Delegates will be able to collaborate with global engineers, national and international policy makers, asset owners and experts from across the built environment.
