KTN: Helping Manufacturers Start their Digital Manufacturing Journey through 4Manufacturing
Launching at today’s International Business Festival, 4Manufacturing® Рwill help manufacturers manage their first steps into digital manufacturing.
This year’s International Business Festival has a strong theme around Manufacturing looking at how new technologies are revolutionising the global manufacturing sector as part of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
Launching at today’s International Business Festival, Knowledge Transfer Network, Innovate UK’s network partner, has been working closely with UK industry to develop a practical new initiative Р4Manufacturing® Рto help manufacturers manage their first steps into digital manufacturing.
4Manufacturing® is designed to help SME manufacturers define and build an action plan to capture and inform their digital manufacturing journey. It connects companies to a wealth of knowledge, expertise, partners, funding and finance.  Through a network of Local Enterprise Partnership and Growth Hub advisers, 4Manufacturing® will help manufacturers develop competence and confidence in digital technologies.

The Welsh Government has committed to use 4Manufacturing¬Æ. Jon Merrey, Manufacturing and Design Framework Manager said, ‚ÄúWe have engaged with the KTN‚Äôs 4Manufacturing¬Æ tool which will help our manufacturers take their first steps into digital for manufacturing. The simple, practical diagnostic tool makes it easy for our advisors to walk companies through the key areas of digital manufacturing and create a step by step manageable plan for implementation that is now achievable.”
