Overview
Join Innovate UK KTN and the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) to hear more about the anticipated Phase 2 of the V2X Innovation Programme.
The mass electrification of transport as part of the UK’s transition to Net Zero provides a potentially significant source of distributed energy flexibility, which can help cost-effectively integrate renewables as well as providing financial benefits to Electric Vehicle owners.
The V2X Innovation Programme aims to address barriers to enabling energy flexibility from bi-directional electric vehicle charging. Following the launch of V2X Innovation Programme – Phase 1, to support the development of V2X bi-directional charging prototype hardware, software or business models, government representatives will set out their thoughts on small scale demonstration requirements for the anticipated Phase 2 of the V2X Innovation Programme.
The V2X Innovation Programme forms part of the Flexibility Innovation Programme, which sits within the BEIS’ £1 billion Net Zero Innovation Portfolio. UKRI Innovate UK are delivering the V2X Innovation Programme on behalf of BEIS.
