New Scottish initiative to support innovation in the food and drink industries
The new Make Innovation Happen service will provide food and drink businesses in Scotland with a streamlined access route to help them innovate.
Scotland is justifiably proud of its food and drink industries, from its internationally renowned whiskies, to its high-quality salmon. Innovation will play a key role in maintaining this reputation, by ensuring that Scotland’s food and drink businesses continue to adapt to market forces and increase their potential for future success.
Earlier this year the Scotland Food & Drink Partnership, a coalition of key public sector and industry bodies, launched a new strategy called “Ambition 2030,” with a goal of doubling turn-over in Scotland’s food and drink industries. The launch of the Scotland Food & Drink Innovation Working Group’s new initiative, Make Innovation Happen, is a first step towards achieving this ambitious goal.
