Whether it is wanting to make sure your hard earned cash is spent on a genuine Cartier watch (other watch brands are available) or be certain that your beef burger did originate from a cow, provenance, product assurance and anti-counterfeiting affect all of us. Fake goods can pose a risk to health, and costs businesses in loss of revenue and reputation.
Over the next 12 months KTN will be running a series of workshops and other activities to explore further the current challenges and future solutions to this problem which affects all industries. Some workshops will be sector specific and some will be solution type specific and there will be also be opportunities for problem owners to meet solution providers. Watch this space for further information and workshop dates!
Before the KTN programme gets up and running we are pleased to support an event organised by Technology Scotland: Enabling Technologies for Product Authentication: Addressing the Global Counterfeiting Challenge This free event is taking place on the 11th May 2017 in Edinburgh and will examine the role of enabling technologies for product authentication. It will be an opportunity to talk to technology experts and problem owners. If you are a solution provider there are also tabletop exhibition opportunities.
