INSPIRe project briefing and consultation
On 27th February we held a hybrid briefing/consultation event for the INSPIRe project. The INSPIRe project seeks to understand and define a means of providing maritime integrity, which is the ability of identifying when the position, navigation and timing (PNT) data should not be used.

About the event
The event will comprise a briefing on the aims and content of the INSPIRe project, and will gather expert views on users’ PNT integrity needs, discuss use cases that will underpin the project and provide an overview of the project’s programme and outputs.
Who is this event for?
The event will bring together senior leaders and experts in the maritime and navigation sectors with an interest in user-level position, navigation, and timing (PNT) integrity. Recognising that integrity is required across different transport sectors, delegates from outside the maritime sector are also welcome.
About INSPIRe
INSPIRe (Integrated Navigation System-of-Systems PNT for Resilience) is an 18-month project to define practical measures that could be implemented to indicate the confidence a user should have in their PNT solution. Trustworthy positioning and timing is critical to support the growing use of such data within the maritime sector and more so when the room to manoeuvre is reduced due to increasing offshore renewable energy production and other such infrastructure.
INSPIRe is funded by the European Space Agency’s Navigation Innovation and Support Programme (NAVISP) and builds on the earlier NAVISP funded MarRINav project.
Delegates will be encouraged to participate in briefings and consultations throughout the project, including the final presentation.
