West Midlands SMEs Encouraged to Apply for Export Funding
West Midlands businesses can apply for a specialist funding stream that aims to help them export for the first time or expand their overseas markets.
The West Midlands SME International Growth Project (SME IGP) is aimed at stimulating export growth within the West Midlands region by addressing business needs and providing financial support.
The project will encourage and assist SMEs to investigate and move into new overseas markets while taking advantage of opportunities to deliver export growth.
The support available includes:
- Financial support and advice to internationalise a business.
- Grants of between £1,000 and £3,000 (up to 50% of total cost of activity, subject to availability).
- Programme of inward ‘meet the buyer’ and/or sector expert events.
Support is provided by International Trade Advisers (ITA) operating out of the six West Midlands Chambers of Commerce.
The deadline for receipt of applications is 31 March 2019.
