About the event
This in-person workshop will introduce you to ITEA Cluster: the EUREKA RD&I Cluster on “Software Innovation”, enabling a large international community of large industries, SMEs, start-ups, academia and customer organisations to collaborate in funded projects that turn innovative ideas into new businesses, jobs, economic growth and benefits for society.
It is industry-driven and covers a wide range of business opportunities facilitated by digitisation like smart mobility, healthcare, smart cities and energy, manufacturing, engineering and safety and security.

Background
2023 marks the 25th anniversary for ITEA. Over this period, the ITEA Community has grown to over 2000 unique project partners from large industries, SMEs, universities and research institutes in 35 countries worldwide, creating a strong impact and changing businesses and lives every day through “Software Innovation”.
EUREKA is an intergovernmental network launched in 1985, and the UK has been a member of the network since then. It aims to support market-oriented R&D and innovation projects by industry, research centres and universities across all technological sectors. It is a global network of government ministries and innovation agencies of over 45 countries collaborating on research and innovation projects. EUREKA Clusters are thematic public-private partnerships which convene projects between SMEs, large industry and academia across EUREKA countries.

In order to help UK participants find partners for their projects, there is an ITEA Project Outline (PO) Preparation Day, on the 12th & 13th September 2023 in Berlin. Registration is mandatory through the PO Day page
UK registered SMEs can apply for a total grant of up to £700. The grant can be claimed as a contribution towards travel costs incurred for the purpose of attending the specific event. Only 1 representative per SME.
Innovate UK KTN is opening a “Travel Support” call available to UK-based R&D SMEs to attend the ITEA PO Day and present their pitch.
