About the event
This event is for innovators interested in applying to the Innovations in Environmental Monitoring call, launched by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and Innovate UK. This funding is for collaborative innovation projects that enable improved monitoring of environmental variables.
This funding competition consortium building event is all about increasing your chances of success by preparing you to apply for this opportunity. During this webinar you will:
- Hear more about the funding competition for Innovations in Environmental Monitoring
- Connect with people who are interested in the competition and the application process
- Find potential collaborative project partners to apply for funding with
- Ask questions about the competition.
The main focus of this competition is accelerating the development of innovative approaches toward environmental monitoring at a sensor or systems-based level, Projects should focus on one or more of the following areas:
- Biodiversity and natural capital
- Soil health (including measuring soil carbon)
- Water quality
- Greenhouse gas (GHG) and ammonia emissions (as a precursor to GHGs) from Defra Sectors
About the funding
UK registered businesses can apply for a share of up to £5 million for collaborative projects to develop innovative solutions in environmental monitoring. This funding is from Innovate UK and Defra.
You will need to collaborate with at least one other organisation to apply for this funding. All partner organisations need to be UK registered and a business must be leading the application for funding. Your project’s total costs must be between £150,000 and £450,000.
The project work should be carried out in the UK, and the intention is to exploit the project results from or in the UK. Find out more about the Environmental Monitoring Innovation competition.
