Overview
UK registered businesses can apply for a share of up to £6.5 million for collaborative industrial research to make supply chains more productive, resource efficient and resilient.
This is a great opportunity for UK businesses to collaborate with others to develop cutting edge technology with applications across advanced manufacturing.
About the competition
Join us to find out more about Innovate UK’s Advanced manufacturing supply chain innovation: CRD funding competition where UK registered businesses can apply for a share of up to £6.5 million for collaborative industrial research to make supply chains more productive, resource efficient and resilient.
Projects must focus on one of the technology areas listed below, have to at least two advanced manufacturing frontier industry identified in the Advanced Manufacturing Sector Plan and involve an end-user.
Projects must have a total eligible grant funding request between £250,000 and £1 million, and last between 12 and 36 months. The following technology areas are in scope:
- measurement, sensing and instrumentation
- additive manufacturing
- digital manufacturing and industrial AI
- robotics and intelligent automation
- power electronics

- Introduce the funding competition
- Share the competition scope, eligibility criteria and advice on how to apply
- Provide a Q&A session with the event attendees

Consortia building
11 May, 10:30am-12pm | Online
This event will help applicants meet potential collaborators working across the advanced manufacturing technology focus areas. During this event, you will have the opportunity to:
- Discuss advanced manufacturing innovation opportunities within the frontier industry technology areas through breakout rooms
- Meet manufacturers, technology providers and end-users who are interested in applying for this competition
- Hear guidance on what makes a strong grant funding application
- Ask questions on the collaboration requirements of this competition
