As we launch the second year of the Battery Innovation Programme, we will look to the future of the UK battery sector and the huge opportunities available to innovators and businesses.

The Battery Innovation Programme (BIP) is a UK Government funded programme, delivered by Innovate UK and supported by the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade (BIST) as part of the Government’s Industrial Strategy.

Kick-start 2027 with collaboration, networking, and conversations around investment, funding and opportunities across the sector.

Who is this event for?

We welcome businesses, investors, academics, entrepreneurs and organisations from across the battery sector. Connect with the Battery Innovation Programme, learn about upcoming support and funding opportunities.

The programme is driving the future of battery innovation across automotive, aerospace, defence (dual-use) and energy by:

  • transforming breakthrough research into next-generation energy storage solutions
  • scaling research and development into commercial impact
  • building skills and collaboration to turn ideas into reality
