About the event
Digital twin technology can help transform the medicines manufacturing landscape, offering powerful insights into manufacturing processes, resulting in improved efficiencies, reduced costs whilst also addressing the net zero agenda. In this session, we’ll introduce the concept of a Medicines Manufacturing Data Institute and explore how such initiatives can accelerate the development, adoption and democratisation of digital twins in medicines manufacturing.
This webinar will include a Q&A session where we encourage our participants to engage with speakers to ask your digital twins questions and explore use cases for the Medicines Manufacturing Data Institute.
Agenda
- 10:00 – 10:05 – Introduction from Innovate UK
- 10:05 – 10:20 – Defining Digital Twins & Introduction to MMDI (Dave Berry)
- 10:20 – 10:35 – Case Study 1: UCL (Joseph Egan)
- 10:35 – 10:50 – Case Study 2 (TBD)
- 10:50 – 11:30 – Workshop discussion
What we aim to achieve
- Introduce the Medicines Manufacturing Data Institute initiative and how it could help support the sector through the democratisation of data which could aid the development of digital twins.
- Showcase real world case studies demonstrating successful implementation of digital twins in medicines manufacturing, specifically for CART-T cell therapies and elsewhere.
- Discuss the challenges and considerations in how to implement digital twins.
Who should attend?
We welcome participants from organisations of any size. We especially welcome participants/organisations:
- with experience in generating, handling, storing and analysing data;
- interested in implementing digital twins within their medicines manufacturing processes;
- interested in working with Innovate UK to unlock the potential of data sharing through a Medicines Manufacturing Data Institute.
Why attend?
- Learn about the new Medicines Manufacturing Data Institute Initiative and how to get involved.
- Discuss the power digital twins and the impact this can have in the medicines manufacturing sector with others from the community.
