The trust and safety sector is growing. With more of our lives lived in digital spaces, online trust and safety is becoming a key issue for businesses, individuals, and society overall. This increasingly goes beyond just mitigating harms and reacting to emerging regulation – it is changing how businesses present online, engage staff, and support their users.

In a recent report compiled for DCMS (‘Trust, Safety and the Digital Economy’), the leading research company Ipsos provide a compelling account of the potential of this fast-growing sector, and the role it plays in helping businesses realise the benefits of safe, trustworthy, and positive digital environments.

Who should attend?

This virtual event, organised by the Safety Tech Innovation Network in partnership with the Trust and Safety Professional Association, will give attendees the opportunity to:

  • Receive a first-hand briefing on key take-out points from report authors
  • Discuss the report conclusions and implications for the growth of the global trust and safety community
  • Explore points of intersection between ‘trust and safety’ and ‘safety tech’ communities.

Why attend?

  • Tech industry leaders and thought leaders – who want to understand the cross overs of trust and safety across the wider digital economy
  • Safety Tech sector companies – who we want to tailor, reuse, and disseminate the contents of the report with their stakeholders
  • International stakeholders – who we want to help safety tech companies reach markets in the UK and abroad
  • Current and future trust and safety practitioners – who we want to be empowered by the report, and to actively begin seeking ways to make professional connections with each other.

This event is in partnership with the Trust and Safety Professional Association.
