Innovate UK seeks innovative Clean Energy Industries companies to participate in an acceleration programme to explore international market access and strategic partnerships in the USA.

Innovate UK’s Global Incubator Programme helps ambitious businesses to collaborate and expand in new markets, accelerating business growth.

During the session, you will:

  • learn more about the Global Incubator Programme –Clean Energy Industries, USA
  • learn about the local innovation ecosystems in New York
  • learn how Innovate UK Business Growth and our incubator partner, Urban Future Lab, will support you during the programme,
  • be provided with guidance on the application process
  • have the option to submit questions to the Global Incubator Programme panel

The Global Incubator Programme, funded and organised by Innovate UK, will include two week-long visits to New York in November 2026 and March 2027.

Note: This opportunity is fully funded support and not monetary funding.

Each business will be supported by an Innovate UK Business Growth Innovation & Growth Specialist or Scale Up Director to help maximise the potential of being part of the programme and exploit the opportunities generated.

Focus Areas

This Programme is focused on the Clean Energy Industries sector, supporting companies developing innovative products, services and technologies in the following areas:

Energy Systems
  • Next-gen energy storage including LDES
  • Low-cost renewable energy generation and solar technologies including off grid power supply and back-up power
  • Grid modernization & transmission technologies & grid reliability solutions
  • Resilience-as-a-service platforms (e.g., critical facility backup, microgrid resilience)
  • Modulation of energy demand including energy flex, demand shift, demand reduction, or digital technologies
  • Energy technologies supporting the EV transition
  • AI and Digital Technologies for Energy Systems
Industrial Decarbonisation & Alternative Fuels
  • Hydrogen, Ammonia and Low-Carbon Fuels
  • Energy efficiency solutions including digital solutions (e.g. for real estate/buildings)
  • Low-cost low emission heat technologies (e.g. industry, buildings)
  • Novel production of industrial products including chemicals, cement, and steel
  • Port decarbonisation
  • Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS)

We would welcome applications from innovative companies who are developing technologies in these areas. Applicants should demonstrate how their proposition aligns with the Programmes Clean Energy Industries focus and contributes to the global transition to net zero.
