Technology Showcase: Industrial Energy Transformation Fund, Phase 2
Join us for an in-person Technology Showcase event to highlight some of the projects funded in Phase 2 of the Industrial Energy Transformation Fund (IETF).
Overview
The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ), in collaboration with Innovate UK Business Connect, are hosting a Technology Showcase event in Manchester on the 21st March 2024 to showcase some of the projects funded in Phase 2 of the Industrial Energy Transformation Fund (IETF).
The IETF supports businesses with high energy use to transition to a low carbon future, and to cut their energy bills and carbon emissions through increased energy efficiency and decarbonisation relating to the industrial process itself. It is a crucial part of the Government’s strategy for tackling climate change and reaching Net Zero by 2050.
About the event
The event will include an opportunity to hear from industrial sites who are deploying technologies to reduce their energy demand and carbon emissions with support from the IETF. Industrial speakers to be confirmed.
As well as helping you to understand how technology can reduce your energy demand and decarbonise your operations, it will be a great opportunity to network face to face and build partnerships on your pathway to net zero carbon.
The event will also present innovative new technologies developed through other Government programmes which have reached TRL 7 or above and in scope for the IETF.
- Transforming Foundation Industries
- Manufacturing Made Smarter
Why attend?
As DESNZ will start their Comprehensive Spending Review in 2024, there will also be an opportunity for you to share your views on where future support should be provided in relation to;
- Climate Change Agreements
- Emissions Trading Scheme
- Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism
- Industrial Decarbonisation
Kindly note that our upcoming event in Manchester is designed to facilitate in-person networking, and as such, will not be available via livestream. We appreciate your commitment to attending, as your registration signifies your intention to participate in the event.
To foster a positive experience for all, we organise these events with the aim of accommodating as many participants as possible to enable networking and collaboration. However, in our past events we have encountered a challenge with high no show rates, which has prevented individuals on the waiting list from benefiting. We kindly ask for your cooperation in ensuring a considerate and inclusive environment.
We urge you to register only if you genuinely plan to attend, and in the event of any unforeseen circumstances, we kindly request that you notify us at least one week in advance. Your understanding and cooperation contribute significantly to the success of these collaborative events.
