Tees Valley Hydrogen Transport Hub Scoping Workshop
This workshop will be held in person at the Tees Valley International Airport in conjunction with the UK Department of Transport (DfT) and Innovate UK, and will directly inform the future strategic direction of the Hub and the programme’s interventions.
The Tees Valley Hydrogen Transport Hub will address the known gaps in the UK’s aspirations to become a globally recognised hydrogen economy. Namely exploring the balance between supply, rollout and infrastructure.
The objective of the Hub is to overcome the adoption barrier for end users of all transport modes through first-hand operational experience, technical, economic and user evidence and dissemination to industry. This guidance and experience, will position the Tees Valley as a model both nationally and internationally for hydrogen transport and will unlock sustainable long term demand.
The Hub’s interventions will bring environmental gains, skills, jobs and economic growth. This will also have the added benefit of providing evidence to support investment decisions over the next 5-10 years by determining and testing cases where hydrogen use can deliver tangible benefits to local economies, businesses and communities.
We are interested in supporting a wide range of transport applications and use cases, however we are typically looking for solutions where there is a need for extended range, rapid refuelling times, or high utilisation, including but not limited to:
- Construction, portside, and agricultural vehicles
- Light, medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicles
- Bus or high occupancy vehicle operations
- Airport operations
- Maritime vessels
We would encourage end users, operators, providers of hydrogen transportation solutions, hydrogen producers, providers of hydrogen refuelling and other relevant organisations to apply for a space at the workshop.
Please, express your interest in taking part in this event before 1st June at 5pm. Submissions will be reviewed on 7th June, and you will be notified if you have been allocated a place on 8th June.
