Overview
As part of the governments’ commitment to the long-term National Quantum Strategy Missions (published March 2023), Innovate UK is supporting the development of a UK quantum networks programme. This programme is designed to accelerate the transition from early-stage technologies to integrated, deployable quantum networks systems.
Building on recent investments to support the development of enabling components and sub-systems, this programme will evolve over the coming years to include system integration, testbeds, and real-world validation of quantum networks technologies.
A key focus is bringing together the full supply chain — from component developers through to system integrators and end users — to enable the development of scalable, commercially viable quantum networks capabilities in the UK.
This cultivation and engagement event will:
- Provide an overview of the emerging quantum networks programme and its future direction
- Outline upcoming opportunities, including testbeds and system-level activities
- Support engagement across the UK quantum networks ecosystem and supply chain
Who should attend the event?
Organisations, researchers and stakeholders interested in:
- Contributing to the development of quantum network technologies, systems and applications
- Understanding how their capabilities align with future programme phases, including integration and testbed activities
- Engaging with partners across the quantum networks ecosystem, including suppliers, integrators and potential end users
Key benefits of attending
By attending, you will be able to:
- Gain insight into the direction of the UK quantum networks programme
- Understand how current technology development will feed into future system integration and testbed environments
- Identify opportunities to position your organisation within the emerging quantum networks supply chain
- Meet and engage with peers, collaborators and ecosystem stakeholders to explore partnerships
If you are interested in contributing to the development and deployment of commercial quantum networks capabilities in the UK, this event will help you understand the longer-term opportunity and position your organisation effectively.
