In the UK, 23% of carbon emissions come from heating water and space in our buildings. Primarily that is down to using gas as a heat source. To meet our net zero commitment that has to change, and fast. Innovate UK’s Net Zero Heat programme exists to drive faster innovation that enables that rapid transformation.  

The Transforming Foundation Industries (TFI) Challenge will be hosting an in-person event in London on the 10th October 2023 to showcase the impact of the Women’s Leadership programme. This event will be delivered by Women Innovators in the Foundation Industries.

Our food system needs to deliver healthier affordable food that meets the changing needs of consumers. Nutrition for long term health and short-term satiation is key, as well as integrating sustainable sources of raw materials and energy into supply chains.

A key objective of the Global Alliance Africa project, through the #MoreThanAWoman initiative, is to ensure that its Place-Based Innovation (PBI) activities are tailored to the needs of under-represented communities, and more specifically, women.
