Innovate UK Manufacturing Made Smarter funding has enabled the development of an AI-driven manufacturing cost estimator and digital supply chain technology.

The Department for Transport has announced a range of initiatives to support and enable confident travel for disabled people, linked to the National Disability Strategy. Disabled passengers will have better accessibility when using transport and a significant say in how they travel and how the future of transport is shaped.  The initiatives are welcomed by KTN’s Transport Team, who are acutely aware of the importance of accessibility across all modes of transport.

With help from Innovate UK EDGE, an innovative Knaresborough-based company refocused its business to combat COVID and won an NHS contract.

UKRI has invested £50 million in funding in smart manufacturing and connected supply chains: this will fund a Digital Supply Chain Innovation Hub, 37 successful projects in the Digital Supply Chain competition, and 5 new university led research centres.

The Analysis for Innovators competition aims to help boost a company’s productivity or competitiveness by working with the UK’s top scientists, using world-class facilities, to address problems in innovative ways.

The COP26 Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) supplier directory was curated with the support of the Jet Zero Council SAF delivery group (JZC SAF DG) to enable a supply of SAF to COP26, to provide those flying to COP26 with a range of sustainable supply chain options. It has now been superseded by the Sustainable Aviation Fuel Supplier Directory.

This competition is looking to test fibre in water solutions in the real world, and ensure secure and resilient access to fibre in water technology. The focus is on connecting the hardest to reach areas in the UK, reducing water leakage, enabling innovative technologies for the water industry and ‘future proofing’ water and telecommunications infrastructures.
