Agri-Tech Catalyst funding to accelerate the adoption of new AgriFood technologies in Africa
The GCRF AgriFood Africa programme aimed to build collaborations between the UK and Africa supporting sustainable food systems.
As part of this programme, Rounds 8 and 9 of the Agri-Tech Catalyst funded innovative collaborative projects between the UK and Africa to address challenges in AgriFood systems in Africa. The core focus of these projects was on using industry-academia collaboration to accelerate the pace of development and scale of adoption of AgriFood innovations.
During the programme, the Agri-Tech Catalyst funded a widespread portfolio of 35 projects, covering crops, food, livestock and aquaculture.
