Animal, in vitro and computational models for preclinical analysis of cell-based cancer therapies workshop
The NC3Rs and the Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult are hosting a workshop on Monday 19th November in Central London.
On Monday 19th November The National Centre for the Replacement Refinement & Reduction of Animals in Research and the Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult are hosting a one-day workshop in Central London to explore preclinical testing of cell-based therapies for cancer.
The workshop will have a focus on best practice in developing cell-based therapies, the benefits and limitations of using animal and non-animal models, as well as how translation can be enabled by the application of in vitro and computational methods. Funding opportunities in preclinical modelling of cell-based therapies will also be discussed, while there will be networking sessions to facilitate conversations and spark collaborations.
The workshop will be chaired by Michaela Sharpe, Head of Clinical Development at the Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult, with further speakers appearing from Retrogenix, NC3Rs, Innovate UK, University College London, Medical Research Council, University of Manchester, CompanDx, King’s College London, and the Medicines Discovery Catapult.
Attendance is free, with the closing date for registration Monday 5th November.
