How can the UK improve transport connectivity? Where and what are the innovation opportunities to grow the economy and sustainable aviation industry?

KTN is delivering five scoping workshops on behalf of Innovate UK to inform their Connected Transport Delivery Plan to be published in 2018. Register to define the door-to-door journey of a passenger or goods item: identifying pain-points and business challenges and defining solutions.

We welcome you to register and seek participation from (not exhaustive):

  • Airports and airport tenant companies
  • Ground transport companies
  • Airlines
  • Freight and logistics companies
  • Technology and digital companies
  • Local councils and authorities
  • Traffic management companies
  • Creative industries
  • Infrastructure companies
  • Manufacturers including OEM‚Äôs

Context: The aviation sector delivers around £18 billion per annum to the UK economy and employs 220,000 people directly and many more indirectly. Globally, the UK has the third largest aviation network after the USA and China. The challenge is to keep people and goods moving efficiently, safely and cleanly whilst the demand for air travel grows 4% annually (from 2014 baseline levels; IATA).

This scoping activity is timely: The Department for Transport has released a consultation to inform its aviation strategy. The information collected from the five workshops will also feed into DfT’s aviation strategy.

Upcoming events:

London – 7th November 2017

Manchester – 14th November 2017

Cardiff – 15th November 2017

Belfast – 16th November 2017

Inverness – 17th January 2018
