Digital innovation to improve safety
The Lloyd’s Register Safety Accelerator is looking for start-ups and SMEs with innovative digital solutions to critical safety challenges.
The current round of challenges is focussed on improving human safety in industries such as shipping, offshore and energy.
Successful applicants will receive trial funding to pilot their solution with commercial industry partners, and entrepreneurial support through Silicon Valley-based innovation platform, Plug and Play.
Only the best, most innovative solutions will be considered and successful companies will benefit from a pilot with Lloyd’s Register and an industry champion.  There will be further support for the successful companies by providing access to a global market, ensuring their innovation is adopted and that society more rapidly benefits from their impact.
There are four challenges – detecting minor leaks in complex industrial environments, navigating gas vapour clouds, ensuring marine and offshore crew competency and enhancing dynamic risk assessment.
Digital innovators from around the world can enter for the Accelerator and the current application process opened on 27th June and will close on 4th August 2018.
