Overview

The EIT Food Change Makers Programme is a new, collaborative initiative led by EIT Food, Europe’s leading food innovation initiative. The programme gives diverse talent the chance to become agrifood-tech innovators or entrepreneurs through a series of events, mentorship and training. It supports people to find solutions that tackle everything from how food is produced and distributed to how it is consumed and disposed of.

It’s delivered in collaboration with YSYS (a leading Startup Community and Diversity and Inclusion Consultancy) and Impact Hub King’s Cross (a collaborative workspace).

Change Makers Startup Weekend

4-6 October 2019

Over an intense but engaging weekend, the Change Makers Startup Weekend will empower and support participants to build a sustainable business that will transform the food system – making it healthier, more sustainable and trusted. At the end of the weekend, participants will have the chance to pitch for funding and other kinds of support from the EIT Food community, King‚Äôs Cross Impact and YSYS.

EIT is looking for ambitious individuals from underrepresented groups, who are interested in launching a startup or joining a team, inclusive of the following. You don’t have to have an idea to join.

Summer meetups 

Wednesday 24th July 2019 & Wednesday 21st August 2019 

To help applicants forge co-founder relationships and cultivate ideas, EIT is hosting two meetups at King’s Cross Impact Hub London. Join them for an inspiring and thought-provoking evening. They will bring together a diverse community interested in the agriculture, fisheries, food, health and sustainability sectors to discuss the latest tech and social innovation trends.
