Dr Charlie Winkworth-Smith and Knowledge Transfer Advisor, Kamran Hussein to speak at The Open Universities; “How can OU help business innovate?” event
Focussed on emerging and enabling technologies the Open University is hosting an event on the 31st January exploring business innovation.
The event which is entitled “How can OU help business innovate?”, aims to foster existing and new relationships between academics and industry.
Round tables at the event will focus on areas including; digital technologies, smart materials, wearable technologies, space & sensors and energy.
Hosted between 3pm and 5pm and featuring a networking drinks reception, the event will address issues such as:
- What can academics do when industry asks to answer a R&D challenge to innovate?
- What schemes are available?
- Who can support you to set up a collaboration?
- What are the possibilities for OU to help (local) business grow?
Dr Charlie Winkworth-Smith, KTN’s¬†Knowledge Transfer Manager for Emerging Technologies and Knowledge Transfer Advisor,¬†Kamran Hussein, will be speaking at the event alongside¬†Julian Bowrey, from Innovate UK, with The Open Universities¬†Dr Simona Foscarin chairing the day.
