HiSTAR Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition 2017
The HiSTAR Competition aims to identify promising start-up companies from the UK and introduce them to investors in China.
At last year’s HiSTAR Competition over 100 startup companies competed for £50,000 cash prizes and 10 projects were given the opportunity to participate in an expenses paid venture investment roadshow in China where they pitched their ideas directly to Chinese investors. Many of the proposals secured venture investment with the main prize winner receiving £2m.
The 2017 HiSTAR competition is now open for applications, with this year’s competition sponsored by the Hangzhou Government, and twenty applicants from the UK will be selected to pitch to Chinese investors in Hangzhou in late November.
The registration deadline for this year’s competition is 31st Aug 2017, travel expenses to attend the competition in Hangzhou will be paid for successful applicants and applications are open to all UK based entrepreneurs.
