The Cyber Security Academic Startups Accelerator Programme – Phase 3

Posted on: 14/09/2018

13 University teams are at the final stage of the Year 2 Programme and will develop an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) for their cyber security ideas.

The Programme is funded by the DCMS in collaboration with Innovate UK and KTN.

Twenty-six teams from twenty-two Universities joined the programme in February 2018. In the first phase, they were supported to develop their cyber security ideas into clear value propositions over a six-week period.

In the second phase in May & June the remaining seventeen teams focused on market validation of their value propositions. As part of this, they represent the Programme at the InfoSecurity Europe show – within the DCMS-sponsored Cyber Innovation Zone.

The third and final MVP phase commenced last week. The teams participated in an intensive two-day bootcamp on MVP best practice as well as hearing a range of case studies and perspectives from Darktrace, BT, Crossword Cybersecurity & alumni from the 2017 programme.
