UK Aerospace Research and Technology Programme Competition Briefing

Posted on: 26/09/2018

KTN is hosting a briefing event for UK Aerospace Research and Technology Programme (UKART) on 2 October.

The event in London is hosted alongside Innovate UK, the Aerospace Technology Institute (ATI) and the Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).  It will focus on two strands of the UKART competition.

In this round of the competition, UK organisations can apply for a share of up to £8m to carry out collaborative R&D, fast-track collaborative R&D and feasibility projects.  This round is part of a larger fund for business-led innovation projects to enhance the UK’s position in civil aerospace.

The aim of this round of funding is to support and speed up industry investment focused on supply chain companies.  Expressions of interest are encouraged from high-risk, high-impact projects that demonstrate visionary, revolutionary and disruptive solutions to UK aerospace challenges.

Proposals must fit with the UK Aerospace Technology Strategy or one of ATI’s technical priority areas which include technologies to improve factory efficiency, coping with extreme conditions and concept designs for radical/unconventional medium and long-range aircraft.  A full list of ATI’s priority areas can be found here.

This briefing event will focus on two of the competition strands, collaborative R&D and fast-track collaborative R&D; a briefing event for the feasibility strand will be held in January 2019.

You can register for this event here.  If you’re unable to attend the event, KTN will be webcasting the event online.  You can select your preference when booking.
