Webinar for manufacturing industries on 5G

UK5G will be hosting a webinar on Friday 10 August exploring what 5G means for the manufacturing industry.

We need your input and participation to help fashion the future of your sector and contribute to informing government about how it might support a digital revolution in manufacturing.

The next generation of mobile connectivity Р5G (fifth generation) Рis coming soon.  it will start to become the digital infrastructure over which all companies ultimately will do business.

5G promises to bring huge benefits due to its ability to handle data and it will significantly improve communication between devices reducing the delay to a single millisecond.  Completely different to 3G and 4G, 5G will bring a revolution in speed, bandwidth and connectivity and will offer enhanced security to open the door for new types of connected products and services.  It has the potential to transform organisations large and small that can tap into this.

But what does this mean for manufacturing?  Identified as one of the priority sectors, how could use of 5G translate to increased business value, raised productivity, improved efficiency and new services? How could this be demonstrated in a future project?

UK5G will be hosting a webinar, 14:30 – 15:30 on Friday 10 August to explore these issues with use case examples from sector experts and an overview of policy and support from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.  We need your input and participation. Join us to help fashion the future of your sector.  Register here.
