$2000 scholarship for students with a precision agriculture idea that will have a positive impact on the environment
Farms.com is running a contest for UK, US and Canadian students to win one of three scholarships.
Farms.com is running a contest for a chance to win one of three US$2,000 scholarships for students who have a precision agriculture idea that will have a positive impact on the environment.
It’s a great opportunity for students who are interested in the environmental benefit of precision agriculture. Precision agriculture has many other benefits for farmers, including reducing costs, reducing waste and increasing profits.
The winners of the $2,000 scholarship prize will be determined by a panel of judges, composed of sponsors, industry leaders, and Farms.com staff members.
Applicants can be studying in any field, not just agriculture, including robotics, AI, engineering, environmental science, etc. However, the ideas will need to be practical and appealing to farmers, as farmers will be voting on the concepts they believe are the most worthy and practical for farmers in North America and the United Kingdom.
Winners will be invited to participate in a Student Panel as part of Farms.com Precision Ag Virtual Conference in November 2020, and will have the opportunity to present their thesis ideas in more detail to all the registered attendees of the Farms.com Virtual Precision Agriculture Conference and Trade Show.
Apply before Friday 2nd October (note extended deadline!) at 11:59 pm (Eastern Time, North America).
