Concrete is fundamental to our built environment and infrastructure but its production is a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions. To achieve our net zero commitments, innovation must be developed and adopted rapidly and at scale. There are many innovative solutions in development, demonstrated through the number and quality of applications to the recent SBRI Decarbonising concrete competition.
